Chatham Middle School's annual Senior Citizen Holiday Luncheon is back in action! National Junior Honor Society students planned, raised money for, and hosted a holiday party for 65 senior citizens from our area, complete with paper flowers and door prizes for each guest. The event started with a concert put on by CMS music students in the auditorium that included a carol sing-along. Then it was on to the gym where NHS students had spruced things up with decorations they created. There, they served their guests a turkey dinner cooked up by our cafeteria staff, Santa (8th grader Timothy Ewers) came to visit, and together with their guests played three rounds of bingo! Special thanks to Community Cares for donating gift cards from area businesses for the bingo prizes. This event is always a favorite of our seniors and students alike!
