Curriculum Overview
We develop, monitor, evaluate and revise district curricula using research-backed data and collaborative best practices.
We consistently research and review instructional resources and tools to support district curricula.
We provide equitable access of district curricula and allocate curricular resources to positively impact all students.
Instruction Overview
We ensure that all of our students receive personalized learning by supporting teachers in the use of data to drive their instruction.
We research best practices and use that gained knowledge to enhance both the teaching and learning process.
We work collaboratively with administrators, teacher leaders, teachers, and support staff to support the implementation of curricula, explicit instruction, sound instructional strategies, and data driven instruction.
We are dedicated to providing students with experiences and engaging learning activities to make them successful learners.
Assessment Overview
We analyze NYS assessment data (3-8 assessments in ELA, math, and science; NYSESLAT assessments; Regents examinations; etc.) to provide insight into broad trends and individual student achievement.
We analyze i-Ready diagnostic data in grades K-8 to provide individual support of our students.
We create local formative and summative assessments K-12

Multi-Tiered Systems of Support (MTSS)
MTSS are tiered supplemental services provided to our students who, according to multiple points of data, are performing below or above the academic and/or social-emotional/behavioral grade level expectations. These services can be provided by a classroom teacher or by a specialist such as a reading or math interventionist, social worker, psychologist, or counselor. These services supplement but do not replace a student’s regular classroom program. For more information on the Chatham Central School District MTSS Framework, click the link below.
