Power Project Completed at CHS

This summer, the District replaced its three utility poles that bring power to Chatham High School from Route 203. The building had been operating on generator power after the power lines came down and two of the poles were damaged during a storm early this summer. The District replaced the third pole as well due to its age.  The District was able to hire  a high-voltage contactor on short notice to complete the project, and the building was reconnected to the power grid on August 29. As a primary customer, the District owns the poles and will be making an insurance claim to pay for the damage.
