Looking for something fun and educational to do outdoors with your family this summer? On our campus, you can take a self-guided reading journey along the shores of Smith Pond! The StoryWalk® starts at the boat launch on Shore Road and features a picture book about water conservation that unfolds as you walk along the path by the pond. This opportunity is brought to you through a partnership between the Columbia Land Conservancy, Chatham Area Recreation Project, Chatham Central School District and Chatham Public Library. Enjoy a lovely walk through nature and learn a little about water conservation as well!

The StoryWalk® Project was created by Anne Ferguson of Montpelier, VT and developed in collaboration with the Vermont Bicycle & Pedestrian Coalition and the Kellogg Hubbard Library.
