Our School Resource Deputy, Travis Van Alstyne, organized a Law Enforcement Day for 5th graders on June 1, 2022. From the Columbia County Sheriff’s office, Sgt. Heath Benansky along with Deputy Jake Gomm did a police dog demonstration with K9 Deputy Jarno. Deputy Patrick McMahon, a Chatham graduate, brought in the Columbia County drones and conducted a flight demonstration. From the NYS Police, Trooper Justin Bell introduced the students to Tilly, one of NY’S four Trooper bloodhounds. Thank you to all the members of law enforcement who helped make the day one our students will remember!
