Please welcome Jessica Williams as our new secretary at Mary E. Dardess Elementary School. Ms. Williams is a familiar face here at MED; she has worked as a kindergarten teaching assistant for the past three years and is also the president of the PTA.
“I love working with children and I love office work, so this job combines the best of both worlds for me,” Williams said.
Before working for Chatham, Williams was a front office assistant and regional trainer for Miracle Ear in Rensselaer. She is a Chatham graduate (Class of 2005) and is currently pursuing her associates degree in administrative information management technology from Hudson Valley Community College.
She is also an MED parent, with a daughter in second grade and a two-year old daughter at home. She loves taking photos of her children and making books highlighting their adventures throughout the year, which she gives to them on each and every one of their birthdays.
As building secretary, Williams steps in to become the heartbeat of MED's main office and fill the shoes of former MED secretary Kim Layton, who moved to our special education department to replace special education secretary Beth King, who is retiring in April.
