Chatham High School's Agribusiness Class visited A. Ooms & Sons Dairy Farm on October 27. Tim Ooms led an in depth tour of the farm where students connected classroom units with a real world and hands-on experience. Students learned about new technology (milking robots from Lely), expanding income sources, herd health, animal nutrition, harvesting crops, and the benefits of purchasing used equipment. They really enjoyed the new born calf and getting in the cab of a combine!
