The Chatham Board of Education has appointed April Mountain of Spencertown to fill a vacant seat on the Board. She was sworn in at the Board’s September 8 meeting to replace Andrew Gilligan, who resigned from the Board in August. Ms. Mountain will serve a term lasting from September 8, 2026 through May 18, 2027, at which time the seat will be filled by the annual Board election. The Board selected Mountain from a pool of seven applicants after it put out a call for volunteers to apply for the position. Thank you to all who applied!
