The CHS Artemis Robotics and Global Science Research teams have a demo/booth set up at the fair in the Livingston Building.
The Robotics team has a paper crane making activity and are there to demo their robot and talk about the competition, challenges, and garnering sponsorships for this upcoming season.
The Global Science Research team has a demo of two environmental studies they are doing tied the to UN Sustainable Development Goals that look at life on land and underwater. The land team is presenting on plant biodiversity and growth in a comparison study of habitat protected from deer browsing and habitat exposed to deer browsing. The water team is doing a microplastics study on the Stony Kill measuring the stream's flow and presence of microplastics and microfibers. Some of the students from the research team plan to travel to South Korea this fall to present the research at a symposium in Seoul and are seeking sponsorships to help fund the trip.
