woman and man presenting to students in library

CMS hosted Vesna Lovsin and her partner Sal Medak, who spoke to our 8th graders about their families' experiences during the Holocaust era. They presented many thought-provoking pictures and topics. Lovsin is the daughter of Holocaust survivor and artist Victor Lovsin. She was recently on the news after donating hundreds of pieces her father's art to Schoharie Central School District so that his life story and legacy can help students reflect on perseverance, empathy, humanity, and dignity. She also shared the difficult obstacles she faced growing up in communist Yugoslavia.
