May 21 way Arbor Day at CHS. Centerpoint to this tradition at Chatham is the planting of a new tree on campus. This year, the Class of 2026 dedicated a red maple that will be planted in the school's courtyard in honor of retiring CHS secretary Debi Layton. The sophomore class also unveiled their class colors. Other traditions included an awards ceremony, passing of the time capsule, the senior picnic at Crellin Park, plus a pep rally and Battle of the Belts!
