students sorting sandwiches at table

On Saturday, May 16, 22 members of the Chatham Middle School Builders Club and National Junior Honor Society traveled to Riverfront Park in Rensselaer, where they provided support for approximately 100 people who are unhoused or otherwise in need. They were there as part of StreetSoldiers, a grassroots humanitarian movement that provides food, supplies, and care to those in need through community donations and volunteers. Students brought gently used toys, homemade sandwiches and cookies, and brought fresh fruit and supplies to give out to the community.
