As the sun sets on May 15, our seniors can breathe a collective sigh of relief! It was Senior Capstone Presentations day at CHS, the culmination of a major research and presentation project Chatham seniors completed as part of our unique set of graduation requirements known as the Senior Capstone Program.
The Senior Capstone Program prepares our seniors for success after graduation by giving them a sense of progression into adulthood and personal ownership of their education. Each senior developed a thesis of their choosing and presented their argument to a panel of faculty members. During their presentations, the students demonstrated their ability to conduct research, think analytically and creatively, articulate their ideas, and integrate data, personal experiences, knowledge and multiple sources of media into their presentations. The early dismissal for pre-k through grade 11 allowed Chatham's entire faculty to serve on the grading panels.
Congratulations to the Class of 2026 on completing this major milestone in their academic careers!
