Fifth graders enjoyed learning about masonry as a potential career when Bailey Reid, Director of Marketing & Business Development for the Upstate Masonry Institute, and Heather Orvis, Executive Director of the New York State Concrete Masonry Association, visited MED on May 7. The pair shared the important work that masons do and then led the students through a hands-on activity where they laid their own brickwork using mini bricks and mortar. The event was facilitated through Questar III's Business & Education Partnership Service. More career days are scheduled for 5th grade in the coming weeks!
