The Chatham Central School District has eight candidates running for four open seats on the Board of Education. The candidates will appear on the ballot in the following order:

Chatham’s School Board Election will be held as part of the annual School Budget Vote on May 19, 2026 from 9:00 a.m. to 9:00 p.m. in the Mary E. Dardess Elementary School gym.
The three highest-vote getters will be elected to three-year terms commencing on July 1, 2026 and expiring on June 30, 2029. The fourth-highest vote getter will be elected to a two-year term commencing on May 20, 2026 and expiring on June 30, 2028, to fill the remainder of an unexpired term left vacant by the resignation of Steve Michalek.
