MED honored Veteran family and community members with a special assembly held at the school November 7. Organized and led by the MED PTO, the event featured U.S. Navy Veteran Darci Ordway with the U.S. Army's Daisy Trowbridge. There was also a flag folding demonstration and Mrs. Brownell led the 4th grade chorus in singing “America the Beautiful” and the 5th grade chorus in singing “Have You Seen a Yankee Doodle.” The event closed with a slide show featuring Veteran family members of our students and staff. The PTO also provided refreshments for our Veteran guests at a reception that followed the ceremony.
