On October 25, Chatham High School's robotics team participated in the Robot Rumble sponsored by OxBe4, Team 3044 from Ballston Spa. This is a one-day event that local teams attend to show off their fall quick-build robots and give new team members practice driving and operating robots in a competitive setting. They used last season's robot, challenge, and field for the event with many of the same volunteers for judging and refereeing that participate in the main season events.
"With all new drivers and limited practice due to the ongoing construction, we did not have high expectations- just to get some practice and have some fun," remarked team advisor Sandy Fischer. "We exceeded all our expectations by being the first pick of the 5th team alliance captain and making it to the finals!"
