Please welcome Ethan Stalter to the Chatham Central School District. Mr. Stalter is our new director of facilities and will oversee the operations, cleaning, and maintenance of our buildings and grounds. Stalter brings over 20 years of experience in multiple trades, building maintenance, and project management to his new position here in Chatham.
He comes to us from Taconic Bioscience in Germantown, a cleanroom facility where he worked as a project coordinator and mechanic. Prior to that, he worked for the athletic department at Columbia-Greene Community College and as a groundskeeper.
“Having a cleanroom background that involved a high level of training and detailed work, I understand what it takes to maintain rooms and equipment to the highest standard and ensure everything runs efficiently and reliably," Stalter said. "I felt like coming to Chatham was a good opportunity to grow with my career and I want to bring that same level of care to our classrooms and athletic facilities for our kids."
Fun fact: Stalter grew up in Cairo where MED Principal Kristen Reno once taught elementary school and had her for his fourth grade teacher! He is also a big football, baseball, and golf fan who enjoys spending time in the great outdoors.
Chatham Central School District hired Stalter, effective September 8, 2025, to replace Andrew Davey, who resigned as director of facilities in July.
