students and tea cher playing pickleball

The seventh grade experienced a morning of wellness-themed events May 25 as each class rotated through five stations to explore different areas of personal well being. Students made healthy snacks with parent and food expert Karen Cooper. The Fuller family (Tracy, Mykaela and Alexia Fuller) spoke about overcoming stress and health obstacles with art, service dogs, and resiliency.  There was  mindfulness with parent Melinda Macchiaroli from The Bodhi ( spa and wellness center) in Hudson and yoga with MED  psychologist Rachel Trainque. In the gym, the seventh graders learned about recreational wellness by playing pickleball with CHS English teacher Jessica Samplaski and Panthers tennis player John Miles. Special thanks to all our guest presenters!
