C is for Chatham! MED’s tennis equipment just got a big upgrade thanks to a grant from the United States Tennis Association. Kate Lynch (left), one of our third grade teachers and a USTA member, approached the USTA and secured the grant on behalf of our school. This May we received a tennis learning kit geared toward young players that includes 30 racquets, specialized training balls, lining tape, court chalk, and more! Physical education teacher Linda Colwell (right) says the new equipment will go a long way to up our game, as it replaces gear that is well over 15 years old. Students k-5 will get to try it all out this September when our yearly tennis unit hits the court!
