students with bags of supplies in front of animal shelter

Mrs. Winter's Language Concepts 3-5 class took a special trip to the Columbia-Greene Humane Society February 13. The students used some of the profits from their classroom store, The Panther Pantry, to purchase some treats and also asked staff members to bring in any pet or bedding items they may have. The kids were blown away with the number of staff donations and were very excited to bring them to the shelter! The students visited the cat room, had a tour of the dog kennels, and discussed the process of adoption and what the humane society does to take care of their animals. Thank you to the C-GHS for this opportunity!
