Board of Ed Approves Reduction to 2010-2011 Tax Levy Increase

During a special meeting held Wednesday, August 11, the CCSD Board of Education approved a 2.01% tax levy increase for the 2010-2011 school year. Aware of the tough economic times facing community taxpayers, the Board allocated $100,000 from the 2008-2009 unappropriated fund balance to be used to reduce this year’s tax levy increase. The new rate is a .53 % reduction from the 2.54 % increase approved by voters in May.
