2025-2026 School Year Goals and Priorities 

Wellness Goal:

The District will create a culture and programs that promote intellectual, physical, and mental well-being.

Priorities:

  • The district’s wellness committee will help support, plan interventions, and create programming for our students’ and staff’s wellbeing, utilizing the feedback from the student and faculty/staff wellness survey results. This will be measured by documenting at least 3 activities/events or initiatives during the 25-26 school year.

    The committee will sponsor four (one per quarter) Wellness Events/activities that adhere to the eight domains of wellness.

  • The mental health team will evaluate the district’s mental health curriculum for each building and make needed curriculum updates based on best research, practices, and student's needs.

  • he results of the “PEAR -  Holistic” in each building.

    Gather and utilize student data from the “PEAR Holistic Student Assessment” tool to enhance student well being and provide student support.

  • Through the district’s website and communications, parents and community members will be kept informed of our schools' continuing and newly implemented approaches to student and staff wellness as the district moves forward in its commitment to quality of life and overall health.

Academic Goal:

Through evidence-based and rigorous programming, our school community will foster and inspire our students’ full potential, advancing their postgraduate preparedness.

Priorities:

  • Regular MTSS Data Meetings will be held at each building throughout the 2025-2026 school year to monitor student progress, to enter students into Tier 2 or Tier 3 intervention, and to exit students from Tier 2 or Tier 3 interventions.

  • Input various student data into RightPath and monitor the effectiveness, usefulness, and impact of the data to identify a student’s individual strengths and needs.  Faculty and staff will utilize this information to improve instruction.

  • Work with teacher leaders to identify program and curricular needs so that we can provide instruction that meets the NY State Learning Standards and prepares our students for college and career readiness.

  • Chatham CSD's academic programming, curriculum, instruction, and types of assessment will be communicated with our community through the district website.

  • The Special Education Department will increase the percentage of students with disabilities meeting or exceeding their Individualized Education Plan’s academic goals by 10% as measured by annual IEP reviews, progress monitoring data and growth demonstrated on the “I-Ready Diagnostic Assessment.”

  • The district will build local community partnerships to enhance workforce development and college/career readiness in at least two programs.

Fiscal Goal:

The District will ensure long-term financial sustainability and resilience to potential changes in funding by maximizing the efficiency and effectiveness of resources. 

Priorities:

  • Finish Phase II and manage Phase III of the Capital Project.

  • Ensure staffing adequately meets the programmatic needs and fiscal realities of the District.

  • Maintaining strong rating through fiscal planning utilizing our financial reserve plan.

Safety Goal:

The District will make responsible efforts to promote the safety and security of our District students, staff and visitors while on campus through the mitigation of potential threats and risk reduction.

Priorities:

  • Each school building and the district will hold regular school safety committee meetings to plan and implement district wide safety protocols and procedures.

  • The district will collaborate and consult with our School Safety Specialists to create and implement after school extra curricular emergency procedures and protocols.

  • The district, in conjunction with our School Safety Specialists, will provide training, communication and support on the district’s newly implemented “Comprehensive School Threat Assessment Protocol” and maintain our teams and  procedures.
