The Chatham Central School District is currently developing a Capital Project proposal for the improvement of our school facilities. Last school year, CCSD conducted a district-wide Building Condition Survey (required by the state to be completed every five years) that identified areas that require improvements due to the age and condition of our facilities and areas where renovations/updating would better meet the needs of our students and community. On October 25, 2022 the District’s Facilities Committee provided the Board of Education with a preliminary vision for the project during the Board’s regular meeting.  View presentation here…

The District is now in the process of refining that vision and determining what to include in a Capital Improvement Project referendum that would go before voters in February 2023. The Board expects to approve a finalized project proposal at its December 13, 2022 meeting. We have created a 2023 Capital Project webpage webpage on our website where information pertaining to the project proposal will be posted as it becomes available.
