Two boys playing rock-paper-scissors

To conclude Bully Prevention Month, Chatham Middle School’s guidance and physical education departments planned lunchtime activities that got students interacting with others who they don’t often socialize with. All students were given assigned seating that put them at tables with students who they do not regularly sit with and conversation starters that allowed them to learn about each other, collaborate and bond. 6th graders made marshmallow and spaghetti towers to see who could build the highest free-standing tower. 7th and 8th graders traveled to the gym for  rock-paper-scissors olympics, survivor races and other group activities.
