Chatham Families,
Today during the morning bus run, a car hit the rear tire of a Chatham Central School District bus that was transporting students. There were no injuries and there was no damage to the bus. Our supervisor of transportation, business administrator, and school resource deputy responded to the scene, along with local police, fire, and emergency medical services. All students and the driver were evaluated by emergency medical personnel at the scene. We have directly notified the parents/guardians of the students involved. Another bus was immediately dispatched to the scene to pick up the students and transport them to school, while a second bus was dispatched to pick up students along the remainder of the route.
