MED put out a house challenge in December for students to collect donations for the Everlasting Hope Animal Rescue in Hillsdale. The collection drive was the idea of fourth grader Shelby Hunt. Students brought in donations like pet food and kitty litter, and Shelby collected money donations as well. The Red House won the challenge with the most donations collected! Over the holiday break, Shelby, her mom, and MED teaching assistant Barbara Schneider delivered the goods to the rescue. Pictured here is Shelby with Deputy Wendy Guntert, who runs Everlasting Hope and is also MED's DARE instructor!
