This year, the elementary school has implemented Friday meetings, where faculty members coordinate school-wide discussion topics and activities for classrooms to engage in. These topics center around social emotional learning and diversity, equity, and inclusion. For example, during Black History Month, our younger students learned about the important contributions of specific people of color, while our older students researched them. As the culminating activity, our 3rd, 4th and 5th grade researchers shared their work with our pre-k, 1st and 2nd grade learners. It was an amazing experience for the students and staff alike!
