
Our Faculty vs. Faculty Basketball Game is Wednesday, November 13 at 6pm in the CHS gym! MED & CMS faculty take on the CHS faculty. Suggested donation is $2 for students/$5 for adults. Proceeds benefit the Class of 2025.


Chatham Middle School invites veterans of the United States Armed Forces and their family members to be our honored guests at the CMS Veterans Day Celebration Friday, November 8 in the CMS auditorium. If you plan on trick-or-treating in the village this Halloween, be sure to stop by CMS. Chatham teachers will have a tent set up out front and will be handing out candy from 5:00-7:00 p.m. Halloween night!


The CMS Veterans Day ceremony is coming up quickly - we are looking for photos of family members that are veterans to include in our slideshow. Please email photos to Mrs. Metrando by November 1st. Please include your relationship to the person in the photo when sending it in. If you have a physical picture you can drop it off in the main office during homeroom or put it in Mrs. Metrando’s mailbox.

Chatham Central Schools will dismiss all students approximately 15 minutes early today, October 4, as part of our annually required Go Home Early Drill. The purpose of this drill is to practice our schools’ emergency dismissal procedures and you are receiving this message as a test of our emergency notification system.

A reminder that we will be holding our 1st mandatory bus safety drills at dismissal today, Thursday, September 12, and that our buses will be dropping students off approximately 10-15 minutes later than usual.


Please be advised that buses 7, 15, and 19 will be dropping students off later than usual today, Friday, Sept. 6 due to traffic delays along their route.

Modified football numbers are extremely low and we are in serious jeopardy of not being able to have a season. If you plan on signing up, please do so ASAP at https://students.arbitersports.com/organizations/chatham-athletics - the modified football season starts August 29th. A decision on the season will be made by September 2nd based on the number of players .

Want to serve your school and community? The Board of Ed. is seeking a candidate to fill a vacant seat on the Board resulting from the resignation of Fred Hutchinson this August. The Board anticipates appointing a volunteer to serve a term starting September 10, 2024 and running through May 20, 2025, at which time the seat will be filled by the annual Board election. To qualify for consideration, a candidate must be and have been a resident of the District for at least one year, be 18 years of age or older, and be able to read and write. Get the scoop on CCSD's newest administrators at our Ice Cream Social Wednesday, August 21, 5:00-5:45 p.m. in the CMS cafeteria. Andrew Kourt, our newly appointed superintendent, and Miles Wheat, Chatham High School’s new principal, will be dishing out the ice cream to provide families with an opportunity to get to meet them and chat before the start of the school year. This event is free and open to anyone from the Chatham CSD community - be sure to drop by and say hi.


For any seventh or eighth grade student who is interested in trying out for a high school level sport this fall, the Athletic Placement Process (APP) test will be held Thursday, August 22 at 1:00 p.m. Meet in the CHS lobby.
