June 15 was Law Enforcement Day for the 5th grade. Students got to meet with professionals from several different agencies to learn about the many aspects of law enforcement in our area. They got to meet a K-9 unit, experience a police drone in action, see what’s inside a squad car, and tour an incident command van. Special thanks to NYS Trooper Svingala and his partner Blair, Sgt. McSween and Corrections Officer Falkner of the Columbia County Sheriff's Office, and Officer Dorato of the Chatham Police Department for presenting to our students, and to School Resource Deputy Roberts for organizing this event on behalf of the 5th grade.
