students holding baloons decorated as creatures and walking down the school hallway

Thanksgiving came early to the halls of MED when our kindergarten classes staged their very own, super-fun Macy's Day Parade! After learning all about those gigantic, awesome balloons that float down the street in NYC every Thanksgiving, our students decided they wanted in on the action. They transformed into official "balloon bosses," spending the week designing and crafting their own floating creations!

The excitement culminated on parade day, November 25. The kindergarteners proudly carried their handmade masterpieces through the school hallways, showing off their hard work to cheering students and staff (we saw everything from peppy penguins to bouncing bunnies!).

It was a fun and festive way to bring this wonderful Thanksgiving tradition to life!
