Mr. Botsford’s language concepts class took a field trip to A. Ooms & Sons Dairy Farm in Valatie on May 9. The rain didn’t dampen their fun. While at the farm, the children watched as the cows ate and the robots worked, extracting and monitoring the amount of the milk each cow produces. The students were able to hold and pet baby goats and climb into a tractor. Before the class left, the Ooms family gave the children Cabot cheese, which is one of the products their milk goes to make.
