Second graders traveled to the Cohoes Music Hall to see Grace for President after learning about the beginning of democracy during their Ancient Greek Civilizations unit. part of the 2nd grade's Core Knowledge Language Arts curriculum. Grace for President is a story about a young student who runs for class president at school and learns about the democratic process, political campaigning, and the value of staying true to herself. This was a great way for the students to experience the theater and explore more ways democracy can be used and seen!
