The Chatham Board of Education has appointed John Roloson as dean of students at Mary E. Dardess Elementary School, effective October 10 through the end of the 2023-24 school year. As dean, his responsibilities include building supportive structures for students, addressing disciplinary and attendance concerns, and fostering family engagement, among other duties.
Mr. Roloson has worked as a physical education teacher at MED for the past 24 years and served as MED’s dean of students last school year while the District sought to hire a candidate to fill an assistant principal vacancy.
Roloson’s reappointment follows the resignation of MED assistant principal Stacey Muscato, who left the District October 6 for employment with another organization. He will serve as dean to provide support to our students and families while the District determines its administrative needs moving forward.
