Our National Junior Honor Society and 8th grade Kiwanis-Service Club together made a difference by supplying homemade foods and hygiene items for over 100 people in need. They spent a Saturday morning in Rensselaer serving underprivileged and unhoused families as part of the "Street Soldiers" program. We also thank Golden Harvest Orchard and Community Cares for their donations to support our students' efforts.
After the service event, CMS counselor and club advisor Jackie Hoffman and students discussed different perspectives, service learning, empathy, and caring for others.
