Chatham congratulates (pictured left to right) Amanda Roberts (trumpet), Isabella Spencer (flute), Tobias Jeralds (cello), Hannah Shufelt (French horn) and Benjamin Halpin (flute) for being selected for the New York State School Music Association's (NYSSMA) Area All-State.
Representing some of the best instrumentalists and vocalists from Columbia, Putnam and Dutchess counties, students are selected for participation based upon their NYSSMA scores from last March. They prepared for the event over the last month, then traveled to Brewster High School on November 19 and 20 to rehearse with their Area All-State ensemble for several hours before performing for family and friends in concert Saturday afternoon.
