Chatham High School's Agribusiness class had their final project showcase event on June 11. Students created business plans which will benefit the agriculture industry. Local representatives from businesses and farms stopped by to talk to the students and vote on which business they would invest in! The visitors included Farm Credit East, NY Farm Bureau, Hawthorne Valley, Pierson Farm, Mud Creek Farm, Hickory Creek Farm, Locust Hill Barn, Dutch Hollow Farm, Liberty Farms, Lely-Farming Innovators, and Chatham Mayor Donal Collins. Students learned by this real-world experience networking, elevator pitches, professionalism, and receiving constructive criticism. Project-based learning is an important part of what Career and Technical Education (CTE) has to offer students. S&S Dairy (Sage Schrader) had the most votes on who would invest in her business!  What a great way to end the school year!
