Teenage girl holding Clarinet

Brianna Reyome, a Chatham High School junior and principal clarinetist of the CHS band, has been selected for the prestigious New York State Band Directors Association (NYSBDA) Honor Band.

The NYSBDA Honor Band, scheduled to take place in March of 2024 at the NYSBDA symposium in Syracuse, brings together some of the most accomplished young musicians from across the state. Bianna scored highly on her NYS School Music Association All-State clarinet solo last year and underwent a competitive selection process to earn a spot in this esteemed ensemble.

Brianna, a member of the Tri-M Music Honor Society, is a well-rounded musician who not only plays in her school’s band, but also participates in its jazz ensemble and chorus, and has been seen on stage in many of CHS' musicals, most recently as Rosie in Mamma Mia! and Sandy in Columbia County Youth Theatre's production of Spongebob Squarepants The Musical. This year and last year she was also selected to be in the Zone 10 Area All-State band.
