After reading the book Balloons Over Broadway by Melissa Sweet and learning about the history of the Macy's Thanksgiving Day Parade, students in 5th grade science completed a STEM challenge. With a partner, they planned out a build for a scaled down version of a character float. Here are some pictures of our students' creativity and skill.
