Students pose with rose bush nest to school sign

Arbor Day returns to CMS! This day-long event included a student variety show, slide show, and special video honoring retiring CMS art teacher Nancy Barth, a free play session where students could enjoy being out in the fantastic weather, and then cooperative games put together by our physical education teacher, Lynn Fisher. The four-way tug-of-war between the homerooms and then against the staff was a blast! The day also included the traditional planting ceremony, where key communicator students dedicated a rose bush next to the school sign in honor of Mrs. Barth. As an added surprise, an ice cream truck rolled onto the school grounds, from which Principal Burns dished out ice cream!
