As the teacher in the movie Wonder explains to his students, "When you are faced with the choice of being right or being kind, choose kind." As part of CMS' February character education theme of 'perseverance,' students in 6th grade traveled to the Crandell Theatre to watch and discuss Wonder and its many themes of acceptance, kindness, and inner strength. In social studies classes, perseverance and determination correlated to historical figures and events as 7th graders viewed Harriet and 8th graders viewed Cinderella Man.
