Sixth graders in Mrs. Velez's social studies class had a blast mummifying apples as part of their Ancient Egypt unit. Students will be observing the effects salt has on the apple over the next several weeks. Students created a hypothesis and took the apple's weight before sealing it. Students will be tracking the effects weekly by drawing the apple, weighing it, and recording any observations they notice.
