color gurad, choral stuidents, and grade 7/8 band during veterans day ceremony at CMS

Chatham Middle School was proud to honor our area Veterans and their family members with our annual Veterans Day Celebration held the morning of November 9. This year’s featured Veteran and keynote speaker was CMS parent Michael Hubert, a specialist in the US Army who served active duty for eight years as a fire control repairer before serving three years with the New York State Army National Guard. The event included the Ghent VFW color guard, remarks by students and staff, patriotic songs performed by select choral students and the Grade 7/8 Band, and a presentation of the flags of the different branches of the armed forces and veteran associations. A reception in the school library for our Veteran guests followed the ceremony.
