All Chatham CSD schools and offices are closed today, Tuesday, January 16, 2024 due to the winter weather advisory in effect for today.

Chatham CSD is examining the sustainability of our football program. Participation numbers have dropped in the last few years. The Board of Education is committed to a process that examines all aspects of the program and what future options are in the best interest of our students and community before any decision is made. As part of this process, the District would like to gauge interest in the program and obtain a projection of participation for the Fall 2024 season at the Modified 9 (grades 7-9) and Varsity (grades 10-12) levels. We are asking any students in grades 6-11 who may be considering playing football for Chatham to complete this brief survey. The survey results will inform the Board’s decision on the direction it will take for the 2024 Fall season. The 2024 Chatham High School Yearbook is now on sale. Senior books are included in the cost of class dues and have already been reserved. The last day to pre-order a yearbook is Sunday, March 3. Dear Chatham families, Chatham athletics invites you to a community meeting to discuss the current status and future outlook of our football program on Thursday, January 4 at 6:30 p.m. in the CHS auditorium. Meeting will be hosted by Athletic Director John Brantley, Principal John Thorsen, and Superintendent Sal DeAngelo. We encourage anyone with an interest in our football program to take part in this important discussion.

All Chatham CSD schools are on a two-hour delay this morning, Monday, December 11, 2023, due to weather. Parent teacher conferences at MED will take place as scheduled.

The Fine Arts Booster Club meeting has been rescheduled to Tuesday, December 5, 7:15 p.m. at CHS.

Today we practiced a lockdown drill in all three of our school buildings. We were assisted by officers from local law enforcement. The students and staff handled the drills very well. As I have stated in the past, it is important that we periodically practice these drills, as we can never let our guard down when it comes to the safety of our children. Calendar update: our 2nd mandatory bus drills scheduled for Monday, November 13 (bus riders) and Tuesday, November 14 (walkers only) have been rescheduled to Thursday, November 16 and Friday, November 17, respectively. Please be sure to mark your calendars!

Our girls varsity soccer team is headed to the Section 2 Class C semifinals! They play Waterford Saturday, October 28, 1PM at Mechanicville HS. Purchase tickets in advance on the Section 2 GoFan site https://gofan.co/app/school/NYSPHSAAII . There are no cash purchases, but smartphones or credit cards can be used to purchase tickets at the door. Today's (Oct. 20) girls varsity soccer sectional game has been relocated to the Hudson High School turf field. Game time is 3:30 p.m. - Go Panthers!

Our Faculty Basketball Game is Wednesday, November 1 at 6pm, when CHS & CMS faculty take on MED faculty in the CHS gym. Suggested donation is $2 students/$5 adults. Proceeds benefit Chatham's Class of 2025.
