Mrs. Cindy Smith (aka Jayden Valdez’s grandmother) volunteered her time to sew up a whole slew of bags for the class to use as their take-home literacy bags.
As part of the seventh grade’s Living History Day, the 2nd Regiment Albany County Militia, a reenactment group based out of Schenectady, visited the school to immerse the students in 18th century life.
On May 3rd, MED’s pre-k class took a field trip to Hancock Shaker Village, a living history museum near Pittsfield, MA that has a farm and 20 authentic Shaker buildings.
Each year, local school districts’ business departments recognize a student who has taken numerous business classes and has exhibited outstanding academic achievement, citizenship, and a positive attitude.
On May 3, Chatham High School inducted 31 members into National Honor Society with a special ceremony held that evening in the school’s auditorium.
