Chatham Middle School’s student NCBI (National Coalition Building Institute) leaders taught 6th graders about the concept of stereotypes. The students discussed times they felt boxed in by the stereotypes people have about gender, size, or even being a teenager, and shared their perceptions about things like social media and different “isms.”
Chatham Middle School has selected sixth grader Liam Drowne’s design as the winner of the CMS Science/Technology Fair Logo Contest. His design becomes the official logo for the school’s 25th Annual Science/Technology Fair and will adorn the official program and other promotional materials for the event, which takes place March 11 in the CMS gym. The CMS Service Club headed to the Chatham Area Silent Food Pantry for a tour and overview with Pantry coordinator Julie Alexander. The students brought with them food items the collected to stock the shelves with.
