MED & CMS Fully-Remote March 26

(March 5, 2021)

Dear MED & CMS Families,

I wanted to give you as much advance notice as possible that Friday, March 26, 2021 will be a fully-remote learning day for all elementary and middle school students. As you know, last Friday was a remote learning day for MED and CMS due to a number of our staff taking advantage of a COVID-19 vaccination clinic. Because the vaccine requires a second dose which must be administered 28 days after this initial dose, we know the same number of staff members will be repeating the process on March 26. After exploring all our options concerning our ability to remain open, we have determined that we again will need to go fully remote at MED and CMS on March 26 to provide the flexibility we need to accommodate these important appointments.

I understand that this may cause an inconvenience for our families and I hope the advance notice gives you ample time to make arrangements. I’m sure you agree having our staff vaccinated is an important step that we can take to keep our schools both open and safe, and hopefully will lead to fewer disruptions in the future.

CHS students will attend in-person classes as normal and the District will continue to provide transportation for CTE, private/parochial school, and other out-of-district-placed students.

As always, grab-and-go meals are available for students learning remotely at no cost. Meal pick up is from 11:00 a.m. – 12:00 p.m. at the MED front door. Please email or call Barb Murray (, 518-392-1536) to reserve your meals.
