All Schools Return to In-person/Hybrid Learning January 25

(January 21, 2021)

Dear Chatham Families,

I hope this communication finds you well. I wanted to inform you that, barring any unforeseen circumstances, all Chatham schools will return to in-person/hybrid instruction on Monday, January 25 as scheduled. Our District keeps in contact with the Columbia County Department of Health as well as superintendents from the schools throughout our region to monitor the COVID-19 situation. Taking into consideration all the factors that affect our school district, we feel it is appropriate for our students to be back learning in our buildings.

Additional, building-specific information about our return will be provided in a communication from your child’s principal this afternoon.

Please note that the COVID-19 situation remains fluid and may require our District to make changes in our response with little advance notice. We ask that all families please maintain a way for our school to reach you during the day should we need to provide you with information that requires your immediate attention. Please make sure to provide your child’s school office with any changes to your contact information.

I know how difficult it has been for our families to navigate this ongoing crisis. Please know that our goal is to provide our students with the highest quality education we can in a safe and effective manner.

Sincerely,

Sal DeAngelo
Superintendent of Schools
