7th Grade Welcome Back Letter

September 25, 2020

Dear Seventh-Grade Families,

First I want to say how proud we are of your children. They have been attending their remote
classes and we are so happy to see them engaged and learning!

Next week begins our transition for those students that chose in-person learning. If your son or
daughter chose this option they will come to school on either Tuesday, September 29th or
Thursday, October 1st for a regular school day. Please help us by completing the daily Health
Screening before your child comes to school. We can not allow any student into the building
without this screening being completed. If it is not completed we will take a temperature reading
outside before allowing them to enter. While this will be new for our student, we must follow
these procedures to ensure the safety of everyone. We also ask that walkers not arrive at CMS
before 7:30 a.m. as there may not be supervision to ensure social distancing outside the front

The schedule next week is as follows. Tuesday, September 29th is our in person Orientation Day
for our RED group which is students whose last names range from A-L. Thursday, October 1st
is our in-person Orientation Day for our BLACK group which is students whose last names
range from M-Z. If your child is a remote learner they will still be following a 2 hour delay
schedule. All 7th grade students will be remote for the remainder of the week. Starting Monday
October 5th, we will transition into our full hybrid schedule where in-person seventh graders will
attend every other day. We will be sending a detailed schedule for October next week.

Thank you again for your patience and cooperation. We look forward to working with you and
your children!

All the best,

Michael Burns, CMS Principal

Michael Stead, CMS Assistant Principal
