Dear Chatham Students and Families,
You are receiving this communication because your student is a Senior in the Questar program. Many of you have reviewed the remote education schedule for the next two weeks and it was apparent there is a conflict with the vocational program and our period 2, 3, and 4 classes. Our teachers are aware of the conflict and they have plans to work with the students who are impacted by this conflict. Teachers will be reaching out directly to their students to address the issue and outline the plans for the next two weeks. In addition, we are planning two Google Meets with all 18 Seniors and their teachers.
The first Google Meet will take place Tuesday, September 15th at 10:00 a.m. It will last no longer than 30 minutes. The second meeting will be Monday, September 21st at 10:00 a.m. as well and last no longer than 30 minutes. These meetings will be an opportunity for face-to-face communication. Students can ask questions and express any concerns that arise. The password for the Google Meet will be VOTEC.
Teachers will be setting up alternative times for face-to-face instruction, office hours for questions and utilizing videos so instruction can be accessed 24/7. We will be marking the students as present in periods 2, 3, and 4 if they are attending their vocational program.
Thank you so much for your patience and flexibility. Please reach out with any questions or concerns at any point. There are so many moving parts to all of this and we realize it can be quite confusing. We are truly looking forward to working with our students and hope our students are looking forward to transitioning back as well.
All the best,
High School Principal
